Our Torch Sconce is an ancient goblet form in the manner of Diego Giacometti, a nod to the classics that at the same time looks very contemporary, like having a tuscan wine glass on your wall. The white and the gesso together with the balance of rough and weathered and very fine and graceful at the same time.

The brass form has a hand applied gesso finish. For indoor use only. An RT Facts Design made by hand in our Kent, Connecticut workshop.

Gesso Finish

Our gesso finish is a multi-step process in which layers of gesso are applied to build a texture, followed by the application of a lighter finishing coat for an ever so slight satin finish.
