A sophisticated white marble garden pedestal featuring egg-and-dart borders and a carved crest inscribed “Virtus patientia Veritas” which translates from Latin to “virtue, patience, truth”. According to the Fairbairn’s Book of Crests, 1905, the crest is “an arm in armor embowed, the hand grasping the arrow.” In good antique condition, with a chip on the front corner of the second tier and some staining to the marble.
