A rare, Italian, Rosso Veronese fragment of a lion head mounted on a steel base. Possibly 17th Century. Rosso Verona is a well-known marble that takes its name from the Verona Region in Northern Italy. There is evidence of an old repair to a crack the runs around the face and head.
